Honoring Veterans, Celebrating Community — SCCF Returns to the Folsom Veterans Day Parade in 2026
Looking back on our memorable participation in 2024, the Sacramento Chinese Culture Foundation is proud to announce that we will once again join the Folsom Veterans Day Parade this November. We warmly invite members of the Chinese community, families, youth, and friends to march with us and celebrate the spirit of community together.
In November 2024, members and families of the Sacramento Chinese Culture Foundation (SCCF) participated in the annual Folsom Veterans Day Parade. Despite the rain, our community came together with enthusiasm, carrying the SCCF banner, performing a traditional Chinese dragon dance, and showcasing colorful elements of Chinese culture along the parade route. For SCCF, participating in the Veterans Day Parade was much more than joining a community celebration.
It was an opportunity to express our sincere respect and gratitude to the men and women who have served and sacrificed for this country. At the same time, it was a meaningful reminder that, as residents of this community, we are also part of the community’s story.
We believe that building a strong and welcoming community requires participation from all of us. As Chinese and Chinese American residents of the Greater Sacramento region, we value the opportunity to take part in local traditions, volunteer, serve, connect with our neighbors, and contribute to the community we call home.
Through our dragon dance, traditional attire, music, and cultural presence, we were proud to honor our veterans in a way that reflected our own heritage. It was also an opportunity to share the richness of Chinese culture with our neighbors and demonstrate how different cultures can come together in respect, gratitude, and community spirit.

Together, we can honor those who have served our country, share the beauty of Chinese culture, and demonstrate that the Chinese community is an active, engaged, and caring part of the community we all call home.
