About the Program

​The Chinese Language & Arts Competition Program is an educational initiative established by the Sacramento Chinese Culture Foundation (SCCF) to encourage excellence in Chinese language learning and cultural arts. The program provides students with opportunities to demonstrate their academic skills, creativity, and cultural understanding in a supportive and enriching environment.

 

Through a variety of language- and arts-based competitions, the program aims to foster confidence, discipline, and a deeper appreciation of Chinese language and culture among students from diverse learning backgrounds.

 

Program Focus​

The program features multiple competition categories that reflect both academic achievement and artistic expression. These competitions are designed to support:

 

• Chinese language proficiency and literacy

• Creative expression through visual arts and writing

• Oral communication and performance skills

• School-based collaboration and community engagement

 

By offering a range of participation pathways, the program allows students and schools to engage at levels appropriate to their experience and educational goals.

 

Who Can Participate

​The program is open to:

 

• K–12 students studying Chinese language and culture

• Students enrolled in public schools, private schools, or community-based Chinese language programs

• Students pursuing independent or supplemental Chinese language learning

Participation opportunities are available for both individual students and school-based groups, in accordance with program guidelines.
