The Sacramento Chinese Culture Foundation (SCCF) was founded in 1986 to promote and encourage learning of the Chinese Language and Culture. Since 2012, the Wells Fargo Foundation Grant and Confucius Institute at UC Davis grant has provided the means for SCCF Board to work together with school principals & teachers to encourage students to higher achievement and improve school programs. For the last 7 years, this scholarship Grant had been used to award individual students and 6-10 public and private schools for language & Culture education plus special school program/projects, based on their merit evaluated by SCCF scholarship committee. Funded schools used scholarship money to organize different projects and improve their student learning process. Students became more interested in Chinese culture and involved in more volunteer work to enrich community Chinese culture. So Individual students and the school program benefit tremendously. In 2019 SCCF will continue to work with all schools together to improve the quality of teaching, promote their school activities, and have essay competition to encourage students practice Chinese language. We strongly believe that together we can go far and achieve more.
